Flexible Trough Joints (Nappies)
Overview
Flexible trough joints, also called nappies, provide flexibility and allow for the up-and-down movement of the holding furnace that controls the flow of metal into the stationary troughs leading to the casting area. Flexible trough joints can be designed to meet specific customer configurations.

- Allows for conveyance of molten aluminium and provides flexibility and an effective seal between the tilting furnace and stationary troughs over the life of the product
