Cover Blocks

Overview

Cover blocks act as an insulating layer to keep the heat inside the spout within the hollow glass manufacturing process. They are positioned on top of the burner blocks and do not contact molten glass. Some of these are solid blocks and some can be recessed to allow the placement of higher insulating materials for even greater insulation value. Typically cover blocks are supplied as a 2-piece setup consisting of a front cover block and a rear cover block. Pyrotek's cover blocks offer high-volume stability, resistance to alkali vapours, thermal shock and corrosion, and they have excellent hot-load properties.
