Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
This position pays $23.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, and annual raises
Position eligible for a $250 signing bonus, payable at 60 days of consecutive employment.
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all facility assets and the associated equipment, including automation and/or production equipment. Ensures all documented maintenance procedures safety practices are followed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this role successfully, the individual will perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Directly support production operations by ensuring the functionality of production equipment and machines through safe and efficient repair and maintenance.
Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and general mechanics with electrical and mechanical/HVAC/plumbing and general maintenance in the facility.
Responsible for clearly written maintenance documentation of repairs, projects and preventative maintenance performed to equipment and/or facility in the CMMS with detailed corrective actions.
Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing the business need for repairs, maintenance, supplies, tools, and equipment.
Routinely visually inspects, test and troubleshoots machinery, equipment.
Assist other Maintenance Technicians as needed.
Maintain physical condition and cleanliness of maintenance work area. Ensure tools and material are maintained in good working order and are available when needed.
Perform in other maintenance related areas as assigned.

Qualifications
Must Haves: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED), plus a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in repair and maintenance of industrial plant equipment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate degree or certification in a vocational field a plus.
Must possess valid driver’s license.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Core People Skills: Ability to positively interact and work collaboratively with a diverse group of people at all levels of the organization.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing business need for repairs, maintenance, supplies, tools, or equipment. Ability to read and interpret information such as safety rules, work standards, work instructions.
- Machine/Equipment Skills. Must have basic troubleshooting skills: electrical systems, electronics, and ladder logic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Ability to read and comprehend facility and equipment drawings. General understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods. Working knowledge of tools, common equipment, and devices.
- Customer Service Computer/Applications Skills. Basic computer skills required including Microsoft Office. Knowledge and ability in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) a plus.
- Core Business Skills. Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion in handling of proprietary and confidential information. Strong critical thinking skills, judgment and keen attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated ability to effectively identify issues and problem solve. Ability to perform basic mathematics, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing figures that include fractions and decimals. Understand building codes. Ability to maintain motor vehicle driving record in good standing as defined by Pyrotek’ s driving record requirements.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand; frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands or arms; occasionally required to climb stairs, talk, or hear. Employee is required to lift or carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to warm or hot conditions (non-weather), dust and hazardous materials. The noise level in the work environment can be high. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
