Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Pyrotek is looking for a competitive, hardworking and dynamic individual with experience in the aluminum foundry industry to lead the growth of Pyrotek's line of capital equipment supporting the U.S. aluminum foundry market.  

Primary responsibilities will entail:

  • Leading the commercial activities, with the support of Pyrotek's technical sales team, of capital equipment and large refractory shapes in the aluminum foundry vertical market segment.
  • Help coordinate order fulfillment of capital projects with Pyrotek's 3 North American equipment manufacturing facilities.
  • Project management coordination for equipment and multi-plant system sales.
  • Help direct after-market sales and field service support.

Computer/Applications Skills. Proficient MS Office computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.  Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM software.  Familiarity and aptitude to work with ERP software and other programs utilized on the job.

Analytical Skills. Ability to use information/data and various metrics to develop an informed and factual business case. Strong financial analytical capabilities for developing profitable product strategies.  Ability to define problems, collect objective data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Exceptional prioritization, time management and organizational skills.  Ability to write routine customer visit reports and effective internal and external correspondence.

Travel. Ability to travel by land and air, both domestically and globally up to 50%. Current US Passport or ability to obtain.  Ability to maintain motor vehicle driving record in good standing, as defined by Pyrotek’s driving record requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, plus a minimum of ten (10) years' experience working in a related industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  MBA a plus.  Minimum of 7-10 years of industrial technical sales.  Demonstrated success selling capital equipment.  Experience with aluminum melting and holding furnaces, as well as metal transfer systems required.  Ability to develop, communicate and coordinate commercial business plans is necessary.  Project management experience/skills strongly preferred.
