Casting Spouts

Overview

Casting spouts aid in the transfer of molten metal within the casting process and are available in different variations to suit many applications. They deliver metal from the holding furnace to the casting station and can assist in metal transfer from within the casting table to help produce the final cast product.

Pyrotek Offerings

Gooseneck spouts are part of a specially designed molten metal transfer system which can be made from Pyrotek's exclusive reinforced fibreglass material (RFM®). The gooseneck spout’s refractory design combines both a tubular and trough-like section to form an angled guide used to direct molten aluminium from dosing tubes to dosing launders in certain high-pressure die casting operations.

Spouts for HDC ingot casting, also referred to as a transfer tubes, connect the tundish assembly to the transition plate and mould for transfer of molten metal.
