Crucible Filters

Overview

Crucible baffle filters (CBF) separates the pour-in section from the ladling or dip out section in a crucible. The CBF allows for an additional stage of filtration to remove any additional inclusions prior to metal casting.

Crucible baffle filters are useful when space constraints do not permit the use of box filters. CBFs are typically made from a bonded particle filter media. Filter change-out and crucible reuse are attained with minimal effort. Pyrotek is able to design a specific filter size based on the position the filter will sit within the crucible.
