Essential Duties and Responsibilities

2nd Shift    Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm 

* Pay from $18 - $25 + 3% shift differential

The Anode Operator follows direction from the Anode Materials Program Manager, support production operations by operating production equipment, including but not limited to furnaces, screening equipment, blending equipment, and material handling equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

In Support of Anode Material Production:

  1. Safely and effectively operate Anode related production equipment, including but not limited to furnaces, and screening, blending and material handling equipment.
  2. Fabricate and process products according to procedures outlined by supervision.
  3. Perform visual inspections of WIP and finished goods to ensure quality and specifications are met.
  4. Load/unload powders into/from production equipment.
  5. Safety move/handle products manually and with cranes, hoists, lift trucks, etc.
  6. Prepare and maintain accurate records of the various units of the operation.
  7. Ensure work area is maintained in a neat and orderly condition.
  8. Promptly report all maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate party.
  9. Accurately complete all documents as required.
  10. Assist with process flow analysis and audits.
  11. Support the ISO quality management system by following all processes and requirements.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:  HS Diploma or GED or equivalent required. Experience in a production environment preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Core People Skills. Ability to positively interact and work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse group of people at all levels of the organization and across the globe. Ability to apply a large measure of common sense to a variety of situations.
  • Communication Skills. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listen and obtain clarification, and respond well to questions. Proficiency to write clearly and concisely and editing work for spelling and grammar.
  • Computer/Applications Skills. Basic computer skills required.
  • Core Business Skills. Strong critical thinking skills, judgment and keen attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a matrix environment. Ability to interpret process control instruments such as temperature recording/controllers, flow meters, process screens, etc. Ability to use a variety of hand and machine tools. Highly organized, detail oriented and self-disciplined.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand; frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel, kneeling and reach with hands or arms; occasionally required to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds and power lifts, talk or hear. Team member is required to lift or carry up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT
    While performing the essential responsibilities of this position the team member will work in a manufacturing environment. While in manufacturing areas, the team member may also be exposed to moderate background noise, moderate amounts of airborne graphite dust, presence of natural and artificial light, exposure to work temperatures from ambient to controlled, hard surfaces for standing and walking. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
