Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for analyzing and supporting the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system requirements, testing standards, addressing relevant issues and finding solutions.  Provides front line user support and assist users in proper use of the system.

Ability to consult with stakeholders, explain technical details and provide exceptional customer service to users.

Computer/Applications Skills. Proficient computer skills using a variety of software applications systems.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. 

System Analysis. Solid knowledge of business information systems. Working knowledge of ERP business software applications, preferably Visual.  Familiarity with SQL Server and SSRS.  Understanding of Quote to Cash process flows.

Core Business Skills. Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion in handling of proprietary and confidential information.  Ability to work independently, without significant direction and to use resources effectively to “figure it out”.  Strong critical thinking skills, judgment and keen attention to detail and accuracy.  Exceptional prioritization, time management and organizational skills.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Qualifications

Must Haves:  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field, plus a minimum of two years’ experience working in/with SQL databases; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferences:  Visual Systems experience in one or more of the following areas of the manufacturing industry: Distribution, Inventory Controls, Order Entry, Warehouse Management, and/or Manufacturing.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  1. Structure SELECT statements to query a SQL database and understand data flow through end-to-end process.
  2. Assisting with Report Writing.
  3. Formulate Ad hoc SQL Queries.
  4. Assist with development of new IS policies and procedures within Visual Systems.
  5. Monitor automated processes within Visual Systems.
  6. Create SQL Stored Procedures.
  7. Promote positive employee and customer relations by supporting Pyrotek’s commitment to a working environment of tolerance, acceptance and civility.  Respond appropriately to inquiries, concerns and complaints by being professional, courteous and respectful at all times.
  8. Maintain regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance, as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.
