A standard radiant holding furnace varies in capacity and typically has three wells for pouring, heating and metal removal. The wells require a cover to prevent heat from escaping. Heating units can be gas-fired or electric and transfer heat through radiation. Maintaining metal temperature and metal cleanliness are key to improving energy efficiency.

Pyrotek focuses on increasing metal quality and furnace efficiency to improve performance for die casters. Solutions for a standard radiant furnace include heaters, well covers, refractory lining, insulation, hand ladles and skimmers and thermocouples.

  • Reduced consumable costs
  • Improved metal quality
  • Higher energy efficiency
