As part of Pyrotek’s Spokane Research and Development Centre (SRD), perform a variety of tasks/projects related to testing and analysis, including development of next generation of high-performance, low-cost materials for lithium-ion batteries and other related projects.



Follow standard operating procedures to prepare lithium ion batteries. Analyze raw battery test data to determine battery performance.

Work with various materials to create new products that meet defined requirements.

Review product failure data and interpret laboratory test and analyses to establish or rule out material and process causes. Prepare reports and/or presentations to share and distribute findings of investigations.

Perform qualitative analyses to determine the chemical and physical properties of various materials.

Search sources, such as reference works, literature, documents, newspapers, statistical records, and other sources of information, to collect, record, analyze, and evaluate facts.

Analyze and evaluate applicability of collected data.

Minimum completion of second year or higher undergraduate student in any of the physical sciences or engineering disciplines.

3.0 GPA

Technical Knowledge. Familiar with chemistry stoichiometric calculations.

Detail and Accuracy. Exceptional attention to detail and ability, able to follow instructions accurately and perform retentive tasks carefully.

Computer/Applications Skills. Proficient computer skills using a variety of software applications systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
