JOB SUMMARY

Facilitate the successful implementation of the Planner’s fixed schedule based off the rough-cut capacity model. Resolve daily issues with production teams to ensure completion of process orders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

Associates Degree in business or manufacturing related field, OR

2 years’ of experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with lean manufacturing a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate the successful implementation of planning schedule by:Tracking open orders through the production process. Tracking and updating A-item stock replenishmentPreparing and issuing work order packets to shop floor.

Participate in weekly capacity meeting. Print and stage packets per instructions from the planner.Ensure date alignment of orders to facilitate OTD and level loading based on the stated capacity for each piece of equipment.Manage packets waiting on material and communicate with purchasing as necessary to ensure orders meet the promised delivery date to our customer. Work with material handler to substitute material where necessary to ensure OTD.Provide timely communication to the planner if orders are going to be delayed. Assist Master Planner with MRP processing.Work cross functionally with key stakeholders to expedite customer orders. Process Inter-Branch Transfers (IBT) to cover MRP triggers. Crosstrain in other functions of the Order Fulfillment department for back up coverage.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Generally, work in an office environment. Will be required to walk through the graphite machine shop to track orders and communicate with the shop leadership team where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
